Staring at a blinking curser ... waiting for the ideas to come ... what to write? I remember the time when I was in high school and we had typing class on an actual typewriter. The apprehensive clicking of the keys, in hopes that your machine had enough correcting paper for any mistakes you made. Now we have the ease of the computer where it helps auto-correct your mistakes for you.
The practice of frequent writing has been a good practice for me recently. I have never been good at keeping a journal or writing down experiences or thoughts. Since I have been writing more frequently I have noticed the improvement of my communication skills, enhanced critical thinking abilities and the start of boosting creativity on paper.
Writing seems to reduce stress, and refine one's ability to articulate thoughts and ideas effectively. I have noticed that I am able to clarify my thoughts a little better without the excess of unnecessary extra words. I have been able to have a better understanding of my current feelings and understanding of the happening around me.
