When someone invites you on a trip ... you've got to go! My youngest brother, Cort, works as a medical rep for the COOK company. Part of the territory he covers is Hawaii. He contacted Jared and I a couple months ago stating that he had a work trip coming up in February and that his wife Kristen was going to be joining him for the week. He travels from island to island while working and attending a work conference. He didn't want Kristen bored while he was working and thought it would be fun to have an adult trip.
We always enjoy the company of Cort and Kristen. We have fond memories of our cruis with them two years ago exploring Italy, Greece, and Turkey. Jared and I wanted to go, however we thought of all the reasons NOT to go. Our daughter, Myalyn is getting married in May. Our oldest son Ben, has his mission papers turned in and awaiting his call any day. Myalyn's fiancé, Anthony, moved in with us two weeks ago and our master bathroom needs to be remodeled due to mold.
Then we sat and thought of reasons we should go on the trip. This September is our 25th wedding anniversary. We wouldn't need to pay for a hotel because we would stay with Cort and Kristen. Myalyn, Benjamin, and Anthony are all adults living at our house to help take care of the younger two boys and our 3 dogs. Then Jared remembered he had sky mil points with Southwest airlines. We decided to look into the cost for airfare to Hawaii with his points ... $200! That was all it would cost for the both of us to fly to Hawaii. How could we NOT go? Hawaii ... here we come!
