Here is the dilemma that I have. I decided to quit a job I hated but got paid really well and went back to school full time to finish my bachelor's degree. I needed a part-time job to help with finances and still allow me to go to school and be a wife and mother. I love people and that is one of the reasons I disliked my last job. I was in an office by myself in front of a computer screen for 8 hours with zero interaction with people. That took a huge toll on my mental health. I knew I needed that human interaction. I applied for a guest relations job at a bakery called, Nothing Bundt Cakes. The pay is mediocre, but I enjoy speaking with the customers and cake seems to make everyone happy. Then enters the GYM. I taught fitness classes until my youngest was in kindergarten and then started work full-time. I enjoy exercise and know it helps me mentally. The gym approached me to start teaching classes. This job is also part-time, and my membership would be free. I decided that I could do both and still complete schoolwork during the week. Let's say that some days I have spread myself too thin and work all day with both jobs and don't get home until 8pm. Is this the best choice? I have no idea, but I am trying to make it work for now. People laugh when I tell them I work at a bakery and a gym. They ask, "isn't that counterproductive?" I reply, "Not if I only smell the cake and not eat it."
